About Fairfield Photographic

Having just celebrated my 10th anniversary as a professional photographer, I feel truly lucky to do what I do, I put my heart and soul into every wedding (or indeed every photograph of any kind!) that I shoot.

I would describe my photography as unobtrusive, modern and stylish with an original twist. With contemporary and stylish storybook albums by top manufacturers and custom designs all at reasonable prices, there really is no need to look any further for your wedding photographer.

I would love to capture the fun and passion of your wedding day. I cover the entire North West region and beyond, all the way to Italy in fact! Within a 75-mile radius I cover travel costs and I also offer a discount for Police, Military and NHS staff – just get in touch to find out more.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Alex

We used Alex as he did my brothers wedding. The photos are fantastic and very natural capturing every part of our day. Some of the pictures Alex took i didnt even know he was there making this feel like an extra suprise when we saw our photos. Our photo album is just beautiful and nicely finished off. I would reccomend Alex to any bride and groom!

Alex did such a good job....from the moment I met him at a wedding fair I felt comfortable with him, Alex got fantastic shots on our wedding day and many with a great story to tell behind them. the album is totally amazing and the amount of comments we get about how fantastic it is. Frequently Asked Questions

What is the price of your service?

My prices start at £900 and go up to £1900 for a package which includes everything you and your family might ever want! It's all completely customisable too :)

What services do you offer?

Gorgeous wedding photography and stunning wedding books handmade in Italy and custom designed, by me, for each individual wedding.

What does the wedding package include?

It depends on the package! But every package includes at least 6 hours photography, all photographs carefully and tastefully edited and presented on a boxed USB drive and a passworded online gallery for you to share with friends and family.

How far in advance should I contact you?

About half my clients book me within 12 months of their wedding date, some book 3 years before. Booking early guarantees you pay that year's prices and get the best deal.

Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

Never.

Are you able to travel?

I travel anywhere and everywhere, from most counties in England to Europe. I offer great deals for destination wedding as I love travel.

What is the charge for travelling?

Within 75 miles of my studio there is no charge. Beyond that it is charged at cost.

What style of photos do you take?

I'd describe myself as classic with a modern twist. My goal is to create photos that will look great in 5, 10, 15, 30 years - not just now. I try and avoid too many fads and trends.

What kind of technology do you use?

I use all the latest gear - like many photographers I'm something of a tech nerd.

What kind of equipment do you use?

I use professional Canon digital slrs and Canon professional lenses, flashes and a ton of other kit. I chose the cameras I use as they record all photos to two memory cards at once - so your photos are safer.

Do you offer any tool to display the photos online?

I have a website hosted by Zenfolio who specialise in hosting pro photographers' websites. It has passworded galleries and is shopping cart enabled. From the galleries you can but pretty much any type of print, wall art or gift.

Do you send all the photos taken?

For a full day wedding, I take about 1000-1500 photos. I carefully sort through and weed out duplicates or any that are unflattering to you and then edit very painstakingly what's left - and that's normally anywhere from 350-600 photos. My clients receive all of these.

Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?

I generally work alone! I believe it helps keep my quality consistently high.

In case of unforeseen circumstances, do you have a replacement photographer?

Yes. I'm a member of some of the largest networks of pro photographers in the world and we cover each other when required.

Do you have the rights to publish the wedding photos?

I retain the copyright of the photos I take so I can occasionally use one or two on my website or on a flyer. But if you'd prefer your photos are never used that's no problem.

Do you charge per hour or per event?

Per event, based on package chosen.

If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?

Usually yes, but it does depend on your wedding location and if I have a wedding some distance away on the following day.

How do you charge extra time?

Per hour.

What are the forms of payment?

Clients normally pay via online banking, but I also accept cheques, cash and can accept credit and debit cards in person. Paypal is also accepted but I do unfortunately have to add a surcharge due to paypal's high fees.

How do you work?

Hard! Seriously ;) My approach is to be as unobtrusive as possible and it's always a great compliment from brides when they tell me later they didn't even notice me taking photos (as I'm 6'2" and no longer as slim as I'd like!!).

How long have you been a professional photographer and how many weddings have you photographed?

I've been a professional now for over 10 years, the last 8 of which I've been full time. I've photographed well over 200 weddings!
