About
And I'm a wedding and lifestyle photographer living just south of Manchester on the edge of Cheshire. I grew up in the rolling green mountains of Vermont in northern New England (top right corner of the states, just above New York) in a town where people still don't lock their doors and my family leave the car keys in the footwell of the car 'just in case a neighbour needs to borrow it'.
Maybe it's because of this small town upbringing or the openness of Vermonters but I've always approached the world in an 'arms-wide-open' way and in 2015, with a just-new baby girl and a VERY supportive (and patient) husband, I dove headfirst into my dream job as a wedding photographer.
A theatre kid & artist to my core, I’ve always been drawn to the collaborative nature of weddings - how a team of suppliers and creatives and makers come together in a beautiful setting with the aim to give a couple the celebration of their dreams. And it’s my job, as a storyteller, to authentically and faithfully capture the results of this collaboration.
It’s fair to say that I LOVE my job and now, with more than 200 weddings under my belt, watching the evolution of weddings has been an incredible privilege. Because your wedding should reflect who YOU are as a couple and how you want to mark the start of this next adventure together and I want to be there to capture every perfect detail (even when occasionally they don’t go perfectly! That’s the good stuff!)
I do not take my responsibility lightly, I know just how lucky I am to be entrusted with your memories and see my job as one of an archivist: capturing your wedding and your family & friends in such a way that it preserves those moments; your wedding photos then become a time capsule, a reminder of the details, the feelings & emotions, the dancing, the vows, the joy.
More than anything, I’m there for the JOY.
I hope you'll have me along.
