Frequently Asked Questions
What is the price of your service?
Pricing depends on what you''re looking for, however I do try to provide high quality Wedding Photography for a reasonable price.
I do this by splitting the pricing into different elements:
> Wedding Photography Coverage, which is either £225 for the main bit (from the Ceremony to Wedding Breakfast), or £275 for the whole day (Ceremony to First Dance). You can also add Bridal Prep coverage for £100.
> Digital Images, which start from £275 for 50 images. You can choose the number of images you''d like from your wedding day, so whether it's 50 or 500 you only pay for the ones you want to keep
> Any extras like Albums, Second Shooters, USBs, Wall Displays etc
Pricing this way also means you can book me as your photography for the day, and choose the number of images you''d like after your wedding day. Although there is a 20% discount if you purchase Digital Image packages before your big day.
Gift vouchers are available too, so your guests can give your wedding photos to you as a gift.
What services do you offer?
Every couple is unique so my services follow suit. I offer everything from engagement shoots, to capturing your wedding day, as well as bridal shoots afterwards too.
If there''s something in particular you''re looking for, get in touch and I''ll see what I can do.
What does the wedding package include?
My Wedding Photography has a ''design your own'' package feel to it.
You pick the level of coverage you want, the number of Digital Images you want, whether you would like an album, second shooter etc.
My wedding package is essentially built around your needs and what you want for your wedding day.
How far in advance should I contact you?
In an ideal world, I find a good 6-12 months window for booking my services.
I am currently taking bookings for mid 2017 into 2018, although I do still have some availability over the next six months.
It is always best to get in touch and check whether your day is free.
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
No way! When I''m your wedding photographer, I''m yours for the day, whether it''s for a few hours, just the main bits or the whole day.
Are you able to travel?
Absolutely! I''''m based on the Essex/Suffolk border, so not too far from most East Anglia and London. I''''m more than happy to travel further afield.
What is the charge for travelling?
The first 100 miles of any journey is automatically included in my pricing. Anything over that is priced at 44p per mile.
What style of photos do you take?
I am a photojournalistic photographer that captures candid, natural shots of your day as it unfolds. I work with what is in front of me and try to limit any formal posing as I like to capture your personalities as individuals and a couple.
I prefer to work with natural light, so although I use some flash photography at times, it is mainly to remove shadows from faces as opposed to setting a scene. I like to be as unobtrusive as possible, so I travel light on equipment with my favourite lens and a couple of camera bodies.
Essentially, I like to tell the story of your wedding day through the photos that I take, without much, if any interference from me. Should I see a fab photo opportunity unfold in front of me, the most direction you will receive is that I''ll get you to redo something to capture the moment.
What kind of technology do you use?
What kind of equipment do you use?
I use a full body digital Canon camera, with a mix of zoom and prime lenses.
Do you offer any tool to display the photos online?
After I have photographed your day, your unprocessed images are uploaded to your own private online gallery for you to view and favourite the images you would like as part of your package.
I then process those images and upload them to your gallery where you will be able to download individual images, or the whole album.
What''s the delivery time for photographic report?
I endeavour to upload your unprocessed images within 1 week after your wedding.
Once you have chosen the images as part of your package. I will process them. The final images will be ready for you within 4 weeks after you have made your selection.
Do you send all the photos taken?
You will receive all the unprocessed photos to make your selection from, as part of your Digital Images package.
Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?
I either work alone or for larger weddings, and when it is requested, I am able to bring in a second shooter too.
Do you have the rights to publish the wedding photos?
Yes. Copyright of the images will remain with me. Although you will be free to use the images for non-commercial reasons, and print for your personal use.
Do you charge per hour or per event?
I do both. I have set rates for events, although I am happy to charge per hour should a couple want me to.
If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?
My photography coverage is dictated by set points in your day, not by the time on a clock as sometimes weddings run a little late.
If I have been booked to cover the ceremony to the first dance, that is what I do, regardless on whether the first dance is running late or not.
If I am booked by the hour, I am more than happy to stay on and work extra hours should a couple need me to. The additional time can be paid for after your wedding.
What are the forms of payment?
I accept BACS, PayPal or cheques. Your booking is only confirmed once a 25% fee has been paid. I also offer payment plans, so you can spread the cost of your wedding photography in the months that lead up to your wedding day. All payment has to be made within 4 weeks of your wedding date.
