"Paul was brilliant from start to finish.  He was helpful and patient during the initial enquiry stage, seemingly never tiring of our subsidiary questions.  We chose him partly because he offered excellent value for money, but mainly because he inspired total confidence  during initial telephone contacts and face to face.  

Paul is a lovely guy. We met in a pub to discuss how the day would go and left knowing that we could trust him to record our day in a way that would reflect us as a couple. 

Before contacting Paul, I thought we would just have a few shots of us and our guests after the ceremony.  He ended up photographing before the ceremony, during the ceremony, afterwards in the gardens and then at the reception.  We’re so glad he did! We now have a wonderful record of our whole magical day.  I almost wish he could have come on honeymoon with us! 

I usually avoid having photos taken of myself and will hide behind a camera to avoid being the focus of attention.  As a mature bride, I was particularly self conscious about posing for photographs.  However, Paul has a wonderful, relaxed manner and put me at my ease immediately. I actually quite enjoyed posing for some of the shots, especially the more informal ones after the group shots. 

Our first few hours of married life were spent in the company of Paul and we both felt totally relaxed and happy with him, putting our trust in his ability to pose us for memorable results. 

At the reception, Paul was unobtrusive and fitted in perfectly.   At times it was hard to remember he wasn’t one of the guests! Everyone remarked on what a great guy he is and his sense of fun and warm character put everyone at ease. He really did everything  he could to ensure that he captured the day perfectly, even returning to the reception venue afterwards to collect mementos of the occasion.  

3 days later, we received a sneak preview comprising 5 beautiful images. We enjoyed the rest of our honeymoon knowing we would have some great pictures to look forward to. We were not disappointed.  Just before we got back, our gallery was available to view. We are now the happy owners of fantastic pictures reflecting the joy and laughter of our wedding day.  Paul’s particular strength, in our opinion, is his ability to capture so much more than just an image in his candid shots.  He caught our, and our guests, feelings and characters perfectly. 

We met with Paul a few weeks after our return, when he presented us with a beautiful box tied with lace ribbon and decorated with our place names from our top table.  On opening the box, we found a wooden memory stick, personalised with a photo of us, the cork from the first bottle opened for our after dinner toasts, favours from the table and a selection of 6x4 prints.  What a beautiful and thoughtful memento! 

We will be choosing some prints, possibly framed, and Paul has offered to meet up again to show us samples.  We really cannot fault his attention and professionalism and will certainly be asking him to record our future special occasions as well as recommending him to family and friends"
