Frequently Asked Questions
What is the price of your service?
My packages generally range from £795 to £1495, with my most popular package being £995 at the moment, but the one of the joys of offering bespoke wedding photography is that I can tailor make all my packages to be as big or as small as you need, so get in touch for a personalised quote and/or a face to face consultation! From tiny elopements to huge weddings and helicopter charter, the sky is the limit and it won't break the bank to get there!
What services do you offer?
Half Day or Full Day Wedding Photography Packages across Devon and Cornwall and all of the UK.
I also offer destination wedding photography and elopement photography, so get in touch to discuss your requirements. I still have some availability for 2019 and 2020 but dates are increasingly limited due to how early people are booking in advance these days!
What does the wedding package include?
All packages come with a bespoke solid oak gift box handmade here on Dartmoor, with a beautiful usb of all your images and fine art prints of your choosing. You also receive an online gallery as standard, with a shopping cart for prints and products, and exclusive log-in for guests to download their own images or order prints.
As additional add-ons to these incredible packages, I also offer extremely luxurious wedding albums, big and small, with a range of cover options, which tell your wedding day story absolutely perfectly from start to finish and will definitely wow anyone who sees it.
Other possibilities to tailor make your wedding photography package with are canvases, metals, fine art prints, framed prints, and.. new for 2019.. private helicopter charter for your once in a lifetime photoshoot opportunity, opening up the venue locations for your bride and groom shoot after the ceremony given how far and wide a helicopter can travel in the space of a few minutes!
How far in advance should I contact you?
As soon as possible please! I am booking up fast for 2020, and will soon have to open my books for 2021 given the number of enquiries I receive daily. However, some dates are still available for 2019, so it's always worth enquiring even if it's very last minute, as there's always a chance I could still have your date free!
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
Absolutely not. I try to make sure I only cover one wedding a WEEK in order to not have a huge backlog of weddings to edit. I like to shoot a wedding, edit the wedding, and move on to the next wedding knowing you've received your gallery and my processing times are reasonable. I'm not like the photographers who book a million weddings but take 3-4 months to deliver your gallery! My delivery time is 2-3 weeks at most.
Are you able to travel?
Yes! I cover all of Devon and Cornwall as standard, and any further than that I simply ask that travel and (depending on how far away the wedding is from my home) accommodation, is covered for me. I am a huge fan of destination weddings and elopements, and will gladly travel abroad too.
What is the charge for travelling?
I don't charge for my time spent traveling and I make no diva-like requests. I simply ask that the true cost of the travel (fuel/airfare) and accommodation are covered for me at cost price.
What style of photos do you take?
Relaxed, artistic, poetic and candid photography is my clear style. I also love an intimate bride and groom shoot away from the crowds, giving you time to relax into one another with me at a distance, appreciating your first quiet moments of being married. These shots may be staged/posed, but I put you at ease and ensure the setting and the overall look is a natural, organic looking photo that really captures your connection as a couple. The rest of the day I am floating around mostly unnoticed, capturing the day as it happens and savouring the emotional interactions and beautiful moments between yourselves and your loved ones.
What kind of equipment do you use?
I'm a canon girl, with 2 main camera bodies and my 2 favourite lenses. I use natural light mostly, and don't cart around tonnes of equipment aside from what is essential - that way I can be mobile and go largely unnoticed for most of the day! To have huge flashes, umbrellas, tripods and bags full of lenses would utterly defeat the purpose of producing natural, relaxed and authentic imagery for my brides and grooms!
Do you offer any tool to display the photos online?
All my packages come with an online gallery for yourselves and your guests to access (if you choose to give them the passwords!)
What''s the delivery time for photographic report?
2-3 weeks maximum
Do you send all the photos taken?
No. On the day I take thousands of photos, a good amount of which are culled in the editing process. I choose the images I feel are my best work, and that I'd appreciate most if I were you, and then I individually edit each of these images for you. Generally clients receive 650-1000 images in their final gallery, and of those images I then select the best and most narrative 100-130 images for your wedding album if you've chosen to include this in your package.
Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?
I mostly work alone, but I do have a second photographer should I need one, who's work is then given to me to edit, ensuring the end result is consistent.
In case of unforeseen circumstances, do you have a replacement photographer?
Yes, I have several.
Do you have the rights to publish the wedding photos?
As with all professional photography, the copyright remains with me as the artist. You are licensed to use the images as you wish for your own personal use, share them on social media, and print them as you wish. You aren't permitted to edit them with filters, crop them (except for on instagram) or sell them or submit them to publications without my permission. Those rights remain with me, as is standard in the wedding photography industry. This is primarily to ensure my artistic integrity is upheld and my work remains reputable and of a consistent quality online and in magazines.
If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?
Of course. My full day package is literally that - a full day. You tell me when you need me there and you give me the nod when you're happy for me to leave. If you need me for longer than a full day that is always possible. Get in touch with your requirements and we'll sort something out :-)
What are the forms of payment?
I take a deposit to hold your date and the rest 30 days before your wedding. I also accept payment in full upfront and can also offer payment plans to make the larger wedding packages more affordable for you. Get in touch for more info.
How do you work?
My working style is totally relaxed - nothing stresses me out. I am all in, full of enthusiasm, happy to be adventurous and go the extra mile, and have an attitude of 'you only live once' and 'it'll all be ok', so nothing really worries me. That's not to say I'm unprofessional or not taking things seriously, but it means that I can ride along on a speedboat on stormy seas with my hair whipping my face and still be laughing and enjoying the moment and getting some incredible shots! (True story!). This relaxed attitude definitely seems to be reflected in my work and clients always remark on how my personality was friendly and welcoming and set everyone at ease. I'm definitely not one to stand around drawing attention to myself and barking orders at people!
