Hey, I’m Polly, the photographer behind Candid Hour London. I’m all about capturing weddings in a way that feels calm, honest, and beautifully real. My style blends timeless black-and-white images with soft, romantic colour, a balance that feels both classic and modern.
Before I ever picked up a camera, I spent over a decade in front of one as a fashion and beauty model. That experience gave me a deep understanding of what it’s like to be photographed, the nerves, the excitement, the vulnerability, and it’s why I love helping couples feel completely at ease.
On a wedding day, I’m calm and quietly observant, but I’ll read the room, if you want more direction or someone to keep the energy up, I’ve got you. I’m drawn to the emotions of the day: the laughter, the glances, the messy, beautiful bits that tell your story. My approach is relaxed and unobtrusive, capturing moments as they unfold so your photos feel natural, not posed.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll probably find me planning my next trip somewhere sunny (sand > snow, always), trying to read just one more chapter of a fantasy novel, or being kept awake by my two mischievous Persian cats who firmly believe 3 a.m. is playtime.

My favorite part of a wedding is seeing all the emotions around me, I can never stop myself from grinning or even crying! I remember my own wedding day, where my soon-to-be husband was as stiff as a stick in front of the camera. After a few awful jokes and making him dance with me all over Hackney Town Hall, our photos became relaxed, full of love and laughter. That’s exactly the vibe I aim to create with every couple I work with.
What I love most is getting to know each couple personally, understanding your vision, your personalities, and what makes your story special. I want the whole experience to feel relaxed and fun, so you can be yourselves and truly enjoy every moment.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me stuck in a book (currently catching up on the whole A Court of Thorns and Roses series), or with my feet in the sand somewhere warm, recharging and finding inspiration for the next shoot
