Frequently Asked Questions
What is your starting price?
Prices start at £170 for a talented soloist / instrumentalist such as a Violinist, Harpist or Cellist for 45 mins.
Generally, bands and ensembles begin at £170 per person, though most professional wedding bands cost at least £220 per person.
These prices are dependant on your and the musician's location.
What services do you offer?
Encore will find you the perfect Musicians, Bands, Singers & DJs from across the UK for your big day.
You can make an Enquiry and sit back while the most relevant musicians supply you with quotes, or search our site and enquire directly with the musicians you want.
How far in advance should I contact you?
Our advice would be to book as MUCH as you can (not just music!) as EARLY as you can to give you the most choice and often the best value because of early bird offers. We often have couples book their music over 12 months in advance!
The best suppliers, including wedding bands / singers / DJs / musicians, get booked far in advance, particularly over peak wedding season and on weekends.
However, because Encore has over 35,000 artists on the platform, we can usually find you talented, top-rated acts at very short notice too.

Our musicians all have extensive repertoire lists, usually featuring over 100 songs.
Is it possible to request something that is not in the repertoire?
Absolutely. Most of our artists will happily learn new songs.
Encore has been established since 2014 and provided musicians for over 1,200 weddings across the UK and internationally.
Do you have your own equipment?
Our musicians can provide their own equipment, including amplification and, in the cases of some bands, lighting also.
Are you able to travel?
Is there a charge for travelling?
There can be, depending on the musician / band you book and the location of your wedding.
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
Absolutely! We often have Encore musicians performing at dozens of weddings on particularly busy Saturdays in peak wedding season.
Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?
Encore is a team of 8 based in London, while over 35,000 musicians, bands, singers and DJs are on our platform, ready to be booked for your wedding.
What is the length of time of the act?
2 x 45 minute sets would be a good starting point but it's up to you to discuss with your chosen musician / band.
How much time do you need to prepare for an act?
The sooner you book the better, however we often provide musicians and bands at VERY short notice - sometimes less than 24 hours before the event.
Do you charge per hour or per event?
A little of both. You can expect to pay around £150 per musician, per hour - although 1 hour bookings will typically cost a little more than this, while multiple hour bookings will work out a little cheaper on an hourly basis.
Cost depends on a few factors:
1. When your wedding takes place
Weekends, Bank Holidays, peak season (May - Oct / Dec), all will have an impact on cost
2. Where your wedding venue is
And of course where the musician / band is based. The further they travel, the more their travel expenses.
3. The experience and stature of the band / musician you're booking
The hourly price mentioned above is the starting price for a band / musician who doesn't necessarily earn their entire income from performing.
Full-time professionals with lots of reviews and experience will likely charge more than this. Typically around 60-70% more, so from £220 per hour.
Then there are high-end / premium bands. These are full-time performers, perhaps part of larger show-bands, or with pedigree because they're famous themselves or have worked extensively with famous musicians. They would typically charge twice the amount, so from £300 per hour, per musician.
If needed, would you be able to work extra hours
Yes, this can be easily arranged with our musicians.
What are the forms of payment?
Using Encore, you can pay securely online. Depending on how far in advance you have booked, you will typically pay a deposit to secure the booking, with the remainder 2 weeks before the big day.
Encore then ensure that the money is transferred to your musician 48 hours after your wedding.
No more worrying about carrying cash, or having to remember to send a cheque!
