On the hunt for a harpist to play at your wedding? Christine’s beautiful and heartfelt renditions of well-loved music have resulted in a busy diary of weddings and events each and every year, so she’d be the perfect musician to perform at your wedding. There’s a reason why she is so sought-after in the East Midlands!
The harp is the perfect way to create a special and breath-taking moment as the bride or groom makes their way down the aisle. The harp also provides lovely background music to your reception drinks and wedding breakfast. In fact – the harp is lovely at any time of your wedding day!
During drinks receptions and wedding breakfasts, Christine’s playing creates a beautiful atmosphere and gets guests playing “Name That Tune”. Her diverse playlist is full of familiar songs and unexpected delights, fitting for a whole array of wedding themes. Christine’s repertoire really does take guests through new and old, revealing that the harp has many sides – from delicate and emotional to sophisticated and classy… and even fun and lively! Most wedding guests haven’t encountered a harp up-close before, and are pleasantly surprised by its ability to be feel-good, lively and powerful. With top quality amplification, the sound of the harp carries loud and clear, but the gentle tone lets your guests converse with ease.
Christine regularly performs throughout the East Midlands in Nottingham, Mansfield, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Birmingham, Loughborough, Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire, but she will happily travel UK-wide for your big day.
If you have any questions about how Christine may be able to add an extra special touch to your wedding, do not hesitate to get in touch. She’s friendly and responsive and boasts a simple online booking process. Oh, and with a profound ability to choose songs which suit your style and wedding theme, Christine will be there to help with every step of your wedding music journey.
We loved the music and we felt like it helped to bring our wide ranging music tastes together. You allowed us to share what we enjoy with our guests.
Prices begin at £225 for a ceremony without travel
Music for ceremonies, drinks receptions and/or wedding breakfasts
There are a variety of packages to choose from to suit your day. For a ceremony you can expect music as guests take their seats, 1 song for the aisle, 3 songs for signing the register and 1 song for the exit. 2 Special requests are included in case you can't find your ideal wedding songs on the playlist
The sooner the better. I take bookings 2 years+ in advance. But it's always worth asking about late availability
My speciality is popular music. Modern hits and well-loved classics.
I have an enormous playlist with a broad variety of popular tunes
Absolutely. I can arrange special requests for ceremonies. All genres considered!
100+ weddings every year!
I provide high quality amplification which can also be battery powered for outdoor performances
Yes after the first hour of travel from my home in Nottingham
It is very unusual to be able to fit more than one wedding performance into a day and allow enough travel and set up time
45 - 6o minutes although I can sometimes set up more quickly if needed.
I have packages available for different combinations of the ceremony, drinks reception and wedding breakfast
Online booking form and typically bank transfer
Yes it's lovely to sit down and chat about your day and let you hear the harp in real life. Phone and laptop speakers do not do it justice and people are often surprised by how much nicer it is. I offer a free consultation to anyone who has booked me to play in their wedding ceremony.
I have professional audio equipment and consider it very important that the harp is loud and clear, often checking with event staff that they can hear me from a distance. The harp is the perfect instrument for background music as it comes across clearly but is gentle enough that people can have a conversation without fighting to be heard
Yes. There's nothing more idyllic than harping out in the open. But of course it does need to be a dry day with no risk of rain and no strong winds. If you would like your wedding ceremony outdoors consider carefully what you will do if it looks like the weather could go either way. My harp is my most precious possession and my livelihood so I can't take any risks. However on a nice day I am more than happy to be out there and can plant myself wherever guests happen to roam with my battery powered amp not requiring a socket.
I need roughly 1m x 2m and to be out of harms way. My harp is slightly smaller than most
My ceremony and drinks reception package is the most popular although I always recommend the ceremony and wedding breakfast where possible. The ceremony is where the harp really helps to create a beautiful and emotional experience. Then during the meal you and your guests are guaranteed to get the most out of the music unlike in the drinks reception where people can spread out and break away for photographs
