Frequently Asked Questions
What is your starting price?
Prices start at £180 for a solo musician.
What services do you offer?
We are an expert agency providing professional classical and jazz musicians for wedding ceremonies and background music. At our core is an efficient and personalised service. Make an enquiry and we will offer you a hand-picked selection of recommended artists to choose from, tailored specifically for your wedding or event. All bookings are fully contracted by the agency and you are given full booking support from start to finish.
What is included in the wedding package?
Ceremony bookings typically include 15-20 minutes of background music as guests are arriving, entrance and exit music and 2-3 pieces during the signing of the register. Background music bookings are also available for drinks receptions and wedding breakfasts, and some artists offer special wedding packages for various combinations of ceremony, drinks reception and wedding breakfast.
How far in advance should I contact you?
Around 9 months is ideal, but we are happy to take enquiries much earlier or much later than that. We will consider very last minute enquiries, if we have availability.
What style of music do you offer?
We specialise in classical and jazz music. We have made a conscious decision to focus on these two areas of specialism where we can offer real expertise, rather than casting our net too wide.

Typically between 1 and 5, but we can do much larger ensembles including a full big band or orchestra, by special request!
Our artists specialise in either classical or jazz performance but include arrangements in a variety of musical styles within their repertoire, from classic and modern pop hits to folk tunes, musical theatre, film music and more. Each artist has their own repertoire list, which will provide you with when you are making your selection.
Is it possible to request something that is not in the repertoire?
Absolutely. Many of our artists will also do a special arrangement just for you if a specific piece is requested. Do tell us if there’s something particular you are looking for and we will find the right musician for you!
Although Tailor Made Music Agency is a new company, its founder and bookings manager Rosie Loker is a highly experienced classical music management professional, having worked at the Association of British Orchestras, the BBC and the Royal Academy of Music. She has handled bookings for high profile clients including the Royal Academy of Arts, Harrods, Savills and the Royal Commonwealth Society, as well as numerous weddings and private parties, and was made an Honorary Associate of the Royal Academy of Music in 2018. Our artists have trained at the world's top music colleges and are all working professionally across London and internationally. They are all highly experienced in playing for weddings and events and dedicated to giving couples the highest quality musical performances.
Do you have your own equipment?
With the exception of pianists, our artists all provide their own instruments and equipment. Occasionally for particularly large events, additional PA will be required and we will discuss this with you or your venue. Pianists can only be booked if the venue has a well-maintained piano in situ, although our jazz pianists can provide high quality keyboards/stage pianos. We can assist with piano hire if necessary.
Are you able to travel?
Our musicians are all based in and around London, but are more than willing to travel, including to destination weddings outside of the UK. Some musicians travel by car, others only use public transport, and we will take this into account when recommending artists to you.
Is there a charge for travelling?
Yes - travel costs will be taken into account in your quote. In most cases artists do not charge additional travel costs within the M25.
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
Yes we do, as we have multiple artists.
Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?
Bookings are managed by one person, but Tailor Made Music Agency as a whole is made up of a team of artists.
What is the length of time of the act?
This varies depending on your requirements. Typically the shortest booking is 1 hour, and the longest is 3 hours. Some artists will do longer bookings by request and offer package rates or a day rate.
How much time do you need to prepare for an act?
This varies between acts, from 15-20 minutes for smaller groups with minimal equipment, to 45-60 minutes for larger groups with more equipment.
Do you charge per hour or per event?
Fee are quoted per booking and take into account the number of artists, length of booking and travel costs amongst other things.
If needed, would you be able to work extra hours
Yes, by negotiation with the artist.
What are the forms of payment?
The deposit is payable to the agency by bank transfer or credit/debit card via Stripe (a secure online payment platform). The balance is payable to the artist directly by bank transfer, cash or cheque.
