A wedding DJ is a great choice if you want a lively wedding reception - your wedding DJ will know all the best songs to play to get all your guests on the dance floor.

A top tip for hiring a wedding DJ - don’t worry about giving your DJ a list of songs to play at your wedding, but instead give them a list of what not to play! It’ll allow them more freedom to create a great party playlist for you, but will ensure they don’t play any songs you hate. It’ll save you time too!

Hiring a Wedding Band

A wedding band is a great option if you don’t want a DJ at your wedding. Bands create a different vibe at a wedding reception, making them a brilliant choice if you want a live music atmosphere. Chat to your band about what’s on their playlist - they will quite likely learn new songs for you at your request, but be aware it might come with an additional cost.

It’s also worth checking with your band what they’ll do between their sets - they will need to take a break! You can find out if they’ll do a DJ set or put a playlist on to keep people on the dance floor.
