With all our music performed 100% live, Supertonic (previously Charlie and the Funk Factory) stays true to the amazing songs and artists we cover and brings an energy that is guaranteed to keep you and your guests up on the dance floor all night long.
When we say we are exclusive, we mean that we exclusively perform for clients that are as authentic in their love for live music as we are and that want to put on an incredible live show for their guests. With years of experience in the industry and from touring all over the UK and internationally, our performers are talented, reliable and know the score when it comes to entertaining audiences.

We have carefully curated three package tiers - Diamond, Gold and Silver - which at their core contain a 2-hour performance from one of our party bands with daytime music and production options too

Typically couples book us between 6 to 12 months in advance of their wedding date but we sometimes have availability at shorter notice

Yes, this is dependent on each location but for events within 2 hours of Birmingham City Centre, travel is included in our quotation

What is the length of time of the act?
The band typically perform 2 x 1 hour sets of music but are happy to be flexible with our set timings to suit your needs
How much time do you need to prepare for an act?
We require a minimum of 90 minutes in the room where we are performing to set-up our equipment and soundcheck

Great function band!
If you are looking for a 10-piece+ function band that will get the party started and everyone dancing - Charlie & The Funk Factory are the band for you! My wife and I are both musicians, so spent a lot of time picking the right band for our wedding and we couldn't be happier with our choice. Such great feedback from our guests too.

the perfect wedding band!
We hired these guys to play our wedding and they were absolutely amazing. They absolutely made our wedding perfect, the dance floor was packed the whole time they were playing and everyone keeps telling us how much they enjoyed it. They learned a few songs for us too, as well as playing backing music my brother could play our first dance. Really flexible, super responsive and helpful. Honestly could not recommend this band highly enough!

Best wedding band!
Everyone at the wedding said they were the best band they'd seen - mostly because the band were also enjoying themselves and got everyone on the dancefloor for the whole evening. They looked amazing as well: glittery catsuits, black tie and velvet! We really appreciate that they learned our first dance for us and they took care of everything - we really didn't have to do anything at all. Would recommend them 100% and hope to get them involved for the next significant birthday/friends' weddings!

Would recommend, no question about it!
We couldn't be happier with Charlie and the Funk Factory! They made such a huge difference to the atmosphere through-out our wedding day, from Charlie playing in the procession on piano, to the band's energy during the reception, which had everyone dancing through-out. We would recommend them without skipping a beat!
The whole process was seamless: Charlie helped us pick the songs, (for the reception, we left it entirely up to him and were not disappointed!) and we were really impressed by how the first dance turned out -- it's a song that's special to us, definitely not popular or well known, but Charlie and the band arranged and played it beautifully!

Would definitely recommend!!
I was a bit hesitant at first as it is quite expensive, I also find the audio for adverts for wedding bands to be a bit too produced and clean sounding compared to the sound of a raw live performance but when it came down to it they were soooo good! Great song choices and very tight sound, excellent musicians all round and the vocalist was also great at engaging with everyone. If you're hesitating to pull the trigger like I was, just do it!!!

A Fantastic Band
Professional, fun and created a fantastic atmosphere. Charlie and the Funk Factory were such a treat and proved a great way to finish off an evening!
Singers and band provided music throughout the day and matched the atmosphere we were trying to create perfectly (from ceremony piano, to evening boogie!).
Can't recommend them highly enough!

More than we even hoped for!
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Charlie and the Funk Factory. We went for a whole day package which meant we had pianist for our ceremony, jazz quartet for drinks and then the full funk band for dancing. They are hugely talented and professional musicians and were so receptive to our requests, even adding a few songs to their repertoire for us! So many of our guests commented on how great a vibe they were!
