What is the length of time of the act?
The length of the performance depends on the live music package you choose 🎶. We tailor our sets to fit your wedding day and can adjust timings to perfectly match your schedule ⏰💍
How much time do you need to prepare for an act?
Our spectacular show band needs around 90 minutes to set up, while our roaming acoustic band can be ready in just 90 seconds! ⏳🎸 It all depends on which band you choose for your wedding

How do you charge extra time?

To confirm your booking, we require a 50% deposit 💸. You can pay securely via bank transfer 🏦 or by card 💳 using GoCardless or Stripe

Uptown Showdown Were a Wedding Highlight
We found Boujee Music through Hitched and saw them live at the National Wedding Show in October 2023. As soon as we heard them, we knew we had to book them for our wedding and they absolutely delivered.
We went with the Uptown Showdown band and they were incredible. From the first song to the last, the dance floor was full. They had all our guests up dancing, singing, and having the best time. Their energy was amazing and they interacted with everyone in such a fun, natural way.
We had so many people come up to us after the wedding saying how brilliant the band was. Friends and family were still talking about them weeks later. They really were one of the highlights of the day and made the evening feel like a proper celebration.
If you’re looking for a band that knows how to get the party going and keep it going, book them. You won’t regret it.

Amazing band!!!!
If you want people to remember the music at your wedding, pick boujee. We heard them at another wedding and knew they were the one. I love a packed dancefloor and this really made it happen!
My only criticism was being hard to always get email replies. They have a good system for submitting information but I found it hard to reach them at times. I do feel this is a lot of bands though and it wouldn't stop me from using them again.

The most incredible ending
It was hard to top such a perfect day, but oh my god Uptown Showdown SMASHED IT! Such an incredible night, all of the band were wonderful and looked to have fun, we certainly did and it was the best way to finish.

Uptown Showdown / Boujee Music were absolutely fantastic. We originally saw them in London before our wedding and we immediately knew we had to book them.
The list of songs to choose from for our big day was huge and a great selection and they really got the crowd going on the day. All of the wedding guests have been raving about how good the band were and lots have said it’s the best wedding band they’ve seen! We couldn’t agree more - they were absolutely perfect and got everyone on the dance floor which was exactly what we wanted.

Best Band Ever
The band was amazing and kept everybody on the dance floor all night, the only downside was when they finished! It was so easy to arrange set up timings, send them our playlist and the songs they chose from their repertoire were just right! The band followed all our special instructions to a tee and I would highly recommend UpTown ShowDown for your wedding! And the best thing, when you book them they send you out free tickets to see them perform before your wedding!

Uptown Showdown: The best part of our wedding!
Wow. I’m not sure where to begin, but Boujee Music has been incredible from the moment we made an enquiry. Tim was so helpful - we had a call with him early on which resulted in him creating a bespoke package to suit us. The communication was always there, Boujee Music took our preferences into account and even worked with my husband’s best man to help them put a surprise performance together! The musicians themselves were out of this world. We could not have asked for better - the energy was infectious, they interacted with our guests and the dance floor was never empty. Thank you so, so much for an outstanding performance that our guests are still talking about. If you’re looking for a band to get your guests dancing and keep the party going - you’ve just found them.

Absolutely brilliant,
We fell in love with Uptown Showdown after seeing them perform at a wedding fair and we just knew we had to have them.
Such a talented band with amazing vocalists, Nathan and Lizzie you were truly outstanding, our guests are still raving about you.

Tim Sentence
Director
I’m Tim - director and co-founder of Boujee Music (with my wife, Lizzie). I started out as a sax and piano player - we actually met in a wedding band! We launched Boujee to blend high-energy, interactive live music with a calm, stress-free planning experience (and to make sure our musicians are treated fairly).
These days I’ve hung up the gig shoes and run the business full-time - guiding the team, curating our exclusive live bands, and looking after our couples. We’ve planned our own wedding, so I know the pressure and how much the music really matters.
