Saffron Strings is an entertainment ensemble that performs at wedding events and is based in Berkshire, in the South East of England. Award-winning musicians are on hand to provide ambient music as a duo or trio at your ceremony and cocktail reception. Their eclectic repertoire ranges from classical music and jazz tunes to television and movie soundtracks and unique arrangements of current chart material.

Services Offered

Saffron Strings will serenade your guests as they arrive, provide emotional instrumental music as you exchange vows, and entertain loved ones at your wedding breakfast. You can deal directly with the musicians to plan your big day. These professionals arrive at least 45 minutes before your ceremony, liaising with vendors and ensuring everything runs smoothly. Whether you desire a duo or trio, they tailor their setup and song lists to reflect your wishes.

Our wedding in the Cotswolds

Saffron strings were incredible on our special day. Lorraine listened to what we wanted and the quartet went over and beyond in meeting our expectations. I’m so glad we chose them for our ceremony and we had lots of compliments on how well they performed on the day. I can’t recommend them enough, the music was so beautifully played

Just Beautiful!

Saffron strings were absolute perfection! Not only through communication before the day, but on the day also. Lorraine took into consideration every song we wanted and the trio played beautifully. I was so busy I didn't really have a chance to thank them for what an amazing supplier they were. We also had compliment after compliments from our guests. So thank you so much for playing at our wedding, you truly made it special for us!

Incredible performers on the day, excellent communication prior to the event (stepping in at the last minute), very friendly and accommodating to deal with. Very reasonable price too! I couldn’t be happier with choosing Saffron Strings and recommend them highly to anyone look for top-quality string performers.

Fantastic string duo!

Truly magical

Saffron strings were amazing throughout the entire process. They responded so quickly to any email queries before the big day and were amazing at providing song recommendations. They were incredibly professional on the day, playing at our ceremony and drinks reception. They really helped to provide a magical atmosphere, we had so many comments from guests saying how amazing the music was (made lots of people cry - in a good way!!)

Wedding Reception

We had Saffron Strings during our wedding breakfast and they were amazing. Our guests loved them too and one guest described them as ‘classy’. They were extremely professional, responded to emails promptly and took into consideration requests from their repertoire list. I am so glad we booked Saffron Strings.

Wonderful experience with Saffron Strings

We were lucky enough to come across Saffron Strings when searching for a string duo to play at our wedding in September 2022 and right from the moment we enquired, we were absolutely delighted with our experience. Rachel and Lorraine were personable, professional and hugely talented. They were considerate and listened to what we wanted before suggesting the perfect package for our day. They were happy to move between two locations (the Church and the reception venue) and though we requested specific music in the Church we knew that we could leave the setlist for the reception entirely in their hands and unsurprisingly, they chose the perfect music to match the atmosphere. We had multiple compliments both on the day itself and in the weeks after on their performance and cannot recommend them highly enough! Thank you Rachel & Lorraine!

Perfect day

Everyone said how amazing Saffron strings were. Made the ceremony so special. Lorraine was great during the planning and was always quick to reply. They were even happy to do a custom song for us. Would definitely recommend

So impressed

I had saffron strings booked for my first wedding date in 2020. They happily moved the date when my wedding was cancelled twice due to covid free of charge. Replied so promptly to my emails and so professional and reliable. Played amazing on the day .

A faultless performance that made our wedding extra special.

Saffron strings were very supportive as we rearranged our wedding three times due to covid-19. They were always efficient to respond and made the process very easy for us. And the performance itself both at the church and reception were beautiful and very fitting for our style of wedding. We had a perfect day, soundtracked by saffron strings.

Fantastic!

Saffron Strings played at our wedding and they were fantastic. They were really accommodating with our music choices, even down to specific requests for songs that weren't on their repertoire and timings of surprise songs! I highly recommend them.
