"Not great if you know what you want"
We recently used Julie for our wedding and unfortunately we were left quite dissatisfied.
It started off well; we went back and forth on email agreeing the scope. Julie was quick to provide pricing which I found very helpful in the decision making process.
Unfortunately after we paid the deposit, communication became quite poor.
I created a detailed briefing document months before the wedding with how we wanted everything to look and drew layouts of the venue.
Ten days before the wedding, it became apparent that Julie had not read the document and began to raise concerns with the flowers and the centrepieces.
Cost aside, this became very stressful. I had chased several times on whether Julie was clear on what we wanted and whether she could deliver this and now so close to the wedding, I felt extremely anxious.
On the day itself, the bouquets turned up and I'm sorry to say were messy, much smaller and not what I had requested. This was followed by a series of other failings throughout the day, which did not meet the brief (including the centrepieces).
I will say, that it did not by any means ruin our day and in fact, guests told me that it all looked beautiful (which it did).
Julie made decisions which she felt were best without consultation. This fundamentally meant we got decor but simply put, was not was not what we had asked for.
All in all, Julie is able to style spaces however if you have a clear idea of what you want, Julie is difficult to work with and to communicate with and will probably leave you disappointed. If you have an open brief and just want someone to curate it all for you, she could be a good fit.
