My name's Nick Wells, and I'm your wedding celebrant. I work across Wiltshire, Somerset, Gloucestershire, the Cotswolds, and sometimes beyond.
I love stories, and I'd be honoured if you chose to work with me as your celebrant to craft the unique story of your relationship into your wedding ceremony.
Whether you're dreaming of a stylishly rustic celebration in a country barn, a simple gathering in a quiet forest, or something incredibly grand in a historic venue, we can make the ceremony in your imagination come to life.
How will we work together?
Contacting
We'll start with a friendly chat. Trust and rapport are really important from the beginning of our journey together, so communication is key.
Booking
I only ever take one weddign per day. On your day, I'm your celebrant. Your booking includes our planning meetings, the ceremony elements you choose, a venue visit, rehearsal and, of course, the wrtiing and celebrancy at your wedding.
Planning
We'll sit down and go through everything together as a team. I'll take an attentive, responsive and empathetic approach as we talk about your story as a couple, choose music, discuss traditions and elements that are important to you, and craft your vows. Don't worry if you're unsure at this stage, though. I'll be there to offer ideas and guidance if you need them.
Your ceremony will be a unique, bespoke expression of your love for one another. The greatest stories aren't from templates, so we won't let your ceremony come from one, either.
Writing
With every wedding ceremony I write, I aim to get as close to perfect the first time as possible. However, I'm not precious. If there are things you want me to add, change or rework, that's fine. We'll tweak it until your ceremony is just right for you. We'll have at least two meetings and you'll be able to contact me via e-mail, telephone and WhatsApp to give you the reassurance that this will happen. Weddings can bring stresses you don't need, so I'll be here if you need me to keep you grounded along the way.
Rehearsing
Before the day, I'll do a venue visit to familiarise myself with your chosen location and to get to know any staff who you'll also have been working with. Not every venue can accommodate a rehearsal, and not every couple wants one. However, it's a great opportunity to run through the technical parts of the ceremony, freeing you up to focus on each other and enjoy the day with your loved ones.
Wedding
When the day of the ceremony arrives, I'll be there for you, coordinating with the venue and your wedding party. I'll give pep talks to anyone who might need them, be a warm, calming, and assured presence, and enable you to enjoy your experience.
Finally, I'll conduct your bespoke ceremony, setting the tone for the rest of your happy days and the continuation of your story in the many years to come.
If you'd like to find out more, then just reach out for that chat, and you can begin sharing your story with me.

I’ll be attending the Wedding Fair at Kings Stanley a charming barn with exposed timber, vintage touches, and natural textures. It’s the perfect backdrop for couples looking to add a personal, down-to-earth touch to their wedding day.
