"Negative Dress-buying Experience"
I bought a three-piece dress: a bodice, overlay, and skirt. They offered the sample skirt to me at a discount and promised that it would be cleaned by the time I came in for my first fitting four months later. When I picked up my dress after paying (over £400) for alterations they had never cleaned the skirt nor added the bustle that they had discussed with me. When it was obvious that I was upset about this, they tried to manipulate me: 'you didn't seem that interested in the bustle' and 'you can't have a bustle and wrist loop so we just gave you the wrist loop'. This was a week before my wedding and I had to pay a different shop to clean, press, add a bustle, and remove the wrist loop because they put it in the wrong place. When I emailed them about my dissatisfaction, I got a defensive email back and was told that they should have charged me for the bustle that they never added and for 'rushing' the alterations - even though I stuck to their alterations schedule!
I would avoid at all costs, but if you want one of their beautiful dresses, get it out of their shop asap and altered somewhere else.
