About Perfect Wedding Make up

On your wedding day, you need to look like you - not someone else. Your make-up should reflect your style and your personality – making you feel happy, confident and comfortable.

I have been a professional make-artist for over 25 years and created make-up looks for many, many brides. My formal training was at the excellent London College of Fashion. I was a national make- up artist for Clinique and and VIP make-up artist at Chanel. Not only do I create beautiful looks for brides; I also teach beauty and make-up artistry at a leading Kent college.

I provide a luxury, bespoke make-up service, using professional high-end products including Bobbi Brown, Charlotte Tilbury, Chanel, Tom Ford, Dior, MAC and Stila cosmetics. I also have a totally vegan kit that includes Delilah, Urban Decay and Hourglass products. My signature look is pretty, natural, totally blended and long-lasting. However, I can achieve any look for you, for your big day.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far do you travel?

I travel as far and wide. Happy to do a destination wedding as well. The first 20 miles are included in the price and thereafter, a charge of 45p per mile, return trip is added to your booking. For destination weddings, a quote is given depending on country/location.

What brands do you use?

Mainly Chanel because I was a VIP Make-up Artist for them and I know the products well. They blend beautifully (I am all about blending and no harsh lines) and photograph so well. In addition, Chanel products are the ultimte in luxury. I also love Charlotte Tilbury. Again, fabulous products that blend and photograph beautifully. Other brands I use are Bobbi Brown, some MAC, Urban Decay, Dior, Tom Ford and YSL.

Do you offer a Vegan Make-Up brand?

Yes, I do. I have a separate kit, that is purely vegan based. Delilah, Urban Decay and Charlotte Tilbury with Real Technique brushes. These products are not mixed with my general kit. Please let me know, on your initial enquiry, if you would like me to use my vegan kit on yourself or anyone in you group.

What type of Make-Up do you do?

Personally, I like soft, smokey eyes, with a some definition. I do like lashes but I prefer them to be more natural and fluttery, than thick and heavy. Skin needs to be fresh, healthy and glowing. I love a bit of high lighter and a pretty cheek and lips can be anything that adds to the look. Light, glossy, matt, bright or nude. It's important that your wedding make-up makes you happy, confident and that you, still look like you!

Do I need a trial and when would I have one?

I think it's a good idea to trial. Just so we can meet, discuss idea's, try some looks out and make sure our interpretation of a bridal make-up style is the same. For example, what one bride calls "natural" can be a totally different compared to another brides idea of a "natural" look. Lots of pintrest and piccies are very useful at the trial as well. I do take bookings without trials and I am perfectly ok with this. But, I will allow some extra time, on the wedding day, to make sure we get the right look for you. However, I feel that if we trial beforehand, then the morning will flow better and be more relaxed. You can sit back and chill, whilst your make-up is being done. With regards to when to trial, my suggestion is to try and do a dress fitting and or hair trial on the same day as your make-up trial. That way, you can see how some of or all of your bridal look comes together.

Can you help with skin care?

Most definitely! Not only do I work as a make-up artist, I also teach beauty therapy and my specialised subject is facials and skin care. My knowledge on caring for your skin (and it's problems) is vast and I am more than happy for you to pick my brains for skin care advice and the best products to use, to get your skin in tip top condition for your big day. In fact, your wedding make-up will only look as good as your skin underneath so, it's never to early to jump on the great skin care plan and put a routine in place that works for you.
