I honestly couldn’t recommend Gemma at Celfie Hair & Make-Up enough. From the moment she arrived on the morning of the wedding, she brought such a calm, reassuring energy – exactly what you need on such an emotional day.

Gemma made me feel so good about myself and completely at ease. I felt like the best version of me, not overdone, just confident and beautiful. My mum also looked absolutely stunning, and Gemma took so much care to make sure she felt just as special.

She is the calmest, kindest presence to have with you on your wedding morning and made the whole experience feel relaxed, joyful and effortless. I couldn’t have asked for anyone better and would recommend her to any bride in a heartbeat.

Booking was very easy, all the information needed was clearly provided and communication was effortless. I ended up booking with Gemma and Kate, at Kingscote barn, with a civilised 9am start and everyone was ready 1 hour before the ceremony.

During the trial and on the day, Gemma’s calm and friendly energy made such a difference - she helped everyone relax and truly enjoy the morning and she felt like having an extra friend in the room, not just a makeup artist.

I’m not someone who usually wears much make up and was a bit nervous about this, but Gemma completely understood what I wanted we created a look that was natural, glowing, elegant and still me. I felt beautiful, confident and comfortable all day without feeling like a different version of myself. The products used are all really nice, and high quality and my hair and make up lasted really well through a long day and lots of dancing!

I am so glad I chose Gemma to be my hair and makeup artist for my wedding. Gemma is a total professional, and super talented. My three bridesmaids and I all felt listened to when we shared what styles we wanted, and as a result all felt really beautiful by the time Gemma had finished her work. I was able to make a few tweaks to what we did for my trial too, so I was so happy with the final look. My makeup has never lasted as well as it did that day - a whole night of dancing couldn't budge it!

I would highly recommend Gemma for your wedding! I have oily dry skin and turn bright red in most situations so I was very worried about finding a look that could last all day. I found Gemma because she openly shares her own skin journey and clearly knows how to treat imperfect skin well.

And she did not disappoint! Gemma’s studio where she does her trials is a beautiful and inviting space. And she achieved the wedding look I had envisioned first time. She genuinely cared about how my makeup lasted throughout the trial day and gave me tips to improve my skin - this gave me such confidence for my wedding day.

On my wedding morning, Gemma was calm and laser-focused which meant we had the best start to our day. I’ve never felt so relaxed! I trusted Gemma completely. I felt so beautiful all day and, despite all the hugs, kisses and dancing, my hair and makeup lasted all day and night, with only a couple of touch ups needed using Gemma’s little gift set.

We also had Katie with us for bridesmaid makeup and she did a wonderful job. Everyone was really pleased with their looks - thank you both so much!

Gemma was an absolute star from the moment we enquired about the hair & make up services we required for our wedding.

She looked after our groomsmaids and mothers on the morning of the wedding and honestly made the whole experience so lovely and relaxed. From the moment she arrived, she brought a really calming energy and just slotted right in – chatting, listening, supplying emergency speakers and checking in with everyone about what they wanted.

The makeup was so natural and soft – everyone looked like themselves, just the best version! The hair was beautifully done too, staying put all day without looking stiff or ‘done’.

I cannot recommend Gemma highly enough. She was cool, calm and collected on the day of my wedding and she and Katie were an absolute joy to have as part of our morning and they nailed the brief as far as make up and hair for every single one of us, despite us asking for different things across the board. Nothing was too much trouble, even fitting in the flower girls as a last minute request in an already packed morning with a fairly early ceremony time! But I never worried and that isn't like me! My make-up and hair were perfect and more than that, they were me.

Gemma and her colleague Kate were so accommodating for the needs of all the bridal party throughout the planning process and the wedding day- she changed the schedule for the morning to suit all and in order to include a bridesmaid who changed her mind and did in fact want her hair styled as well as make up! Both Kate and Gemma made my wedding morning such a joy and pleasant experience for the whole bridal party! You can see their experience and professionalism in their work and their work can only be described as masterpieces which made us all feel and look our best on such a special day! Gemma was fantastic - so artistic and highly skilled. She worked magic and the day wouldn't have been the same without her.

I cannot put into words how amazing Gemma is! She did my hair and makeup for two days—Wednesday the 7th and Thursday the 8th—and she was nothing short of incredible. Kate also joined us for makeup, and both of them were on time each day, bringing with them an air of calm and professionalism that set the perfect tone. They arrived without any fuss, set themselves up, and got straight to work, making the entire process completely stress-free.

Gemma, in particular, was a calming presence throughout. She managed to keep everyone's energy levels up, even when things got a bit hectic, and her ability to remain cool under pressure was truly impressive. No matter how much we ran behind schedule, Gemma never once lost her cool. She listened intently to what we wanted, offering no pressure to stick to any particular look, and she was incredibly supportive when I decided to change my look from what we had originally planned during the trial. Her main priority was making sure I felt and looked my best, and she succeeded beyond my wildest expectations.

Gemma has an extraordinary talent for creating unique and beautiful looks. She made me feel so special and truly brought out the best version of myself. I cannot recommend her highly enough—any bridal party would be blessed to have her as part of their day.

But what really sets Gemma apart is her kindness and thoughtfulness. After everyone had left for the groom’s entrance, I started feeling faint. Gemma noticed right away and didn’t hesitate to stay with me. She sat by my side, fed me water, and even found a fan to help me cool down. She went above and beyond in every way imaginable.

If you’re lucky enough to have Gemma on your wedding day, you will be the luckiest bride in the world. She is not just a talented stylist; she’s a genuinely caring person who will make sure your day is everything you’ve dreamed of and more.

Gemma, where do I start!?… what an incredible and talented woman! I cannot express how thankful I am that I found Celfie and that Gemma and Kate were available on my peak Saturday wedding date for both hair and make up. I wouldn’t have wanted to share my morning (and evening) with anyone else.
From the moment I met Gemma at my trial, she was friendly, understanding, honest and non judgemental of what a perfectionist and control freak I am! She was honest about what could achieved from my inspo, didn’t force me to have any certain look and allowed me to speak freely, which made me feel comfortable enough to ask for any tweaks I wanted.
Her morning timeline was spot on, during which she gave me a full glam look along with a beautiful sleek bun. She also gave three different beautiful hairstyles for my three bridesmaids, with her team member Kate creating beautiful make up looks for each of them. She calmed me, hyped me and stayed right up until I left for the ceremony, making sure I was happy and looking flawless.
I also had Gemma come back to me in the evening before the evening reception to have a little top up but I could have had a full style change if I wanted - I’d highly recommend this to any bride, especially if you’re emotional. She took her time, had a genuine interest in how my day had been so far and left me once again looking flawless, ready for the evening ahead.
