After viewing four other venues, Keith and Yvonne settled on Down Hall Country House in Hertfordshire. They’d originally planned to celebrate their wedding with a low key party at home, but as they compiled the guest list, they realised they were going to need a bigger venue.
They couldn’t fault the staff, and the couple would recommend hiring a professional toastmaster, as theirs helped the day run like clockwork.
Their ceremony was also held at Down Hall, and New Zealander Yvonne arranged for the All Black’s traditional Haka music to be played before she entered. She felt as though she had 15 of the world’s finest rugby players singing her down the aisle!
The ceremony was kept short and sweet, and the couple exited to Hayley Westenra’s English/Maori version of “World in Union”, the 2011 Rugby World Cup theme, as Keith is also a big rugby fan, as are his children.
