After the wedding ceremony, the celebrations continued with a reception at Quy Mill Hotel & Spa.
When searching for their venue, Dan and Yvonne wanted a place that could host both the ceremony and reception, had accommodation and have a historical twist with beautiful grounds! Quy Mill ticked all the boxes and it could accommodate their requests for a specialist Chinese style wedding breakfast and fireworks.
The couple loved how much natural beauty surrounded the venue as they are both nature lovers. They decorated their reception with a raspberry pink and gold colour scheme with lots of hearts. There was also a subtle Chinese theme, which included bamboo chopsticks in satin sleeves placed at each table setting.
The wedding menu reflected both their cultures and included some delicious dishes such as crispy shredded beef, soy glazed salmon and stir fried noodles. Each guest also received a fortune cookie, and the favours consisted of mini bottles of pink sparkling fizz, a Lottery Thunderball ticket, a Chinese red envelope (a hongbao) which contained a traditional Chinese lucky charm and chocolate truffles in a heart shaped tin!
The under 18s got bottles of J2O Glitterberry, and small guests received a fun activity pack.
The table centrepieces were truly striking – they featured pink roses set in ice sculptures. The guests were all assigned tables but were free to choose their own seats.
