Yvonne & Dan’s Real Wedding

Yvonne and Dan met through mutual friends on a night out. His funky dance moves left a lasting impression on Yvonne, and nine years after they first met they tied the knot at Quy Mill Hotel & Spa in front of their nearest and dearest. Their wedding had a pink colour scheme and included elements from Yvonne’s Chinese heritage.

The Wedding Ceremony

Yvonne travelled to the wedding ceremony in a vintage car hired from Vintage Limousine Hire. They’d also organised a limousine for their guests so they could travel in style.

The ceremony took place at Quy Mill Hotel & Spa. The wedding date had significance in Chinese numerology – it was considered to be an auspicious day to get married.

The ceremony began with Dan’s nephew walking in with the wedding rings, followed by bridesmaids Ellie and Kelly, then chief bridesmaid Becky. Yvonne walked down the aisle with her father to the traditional ‘Bridal Chorus’.

As Dan is really into all things Native American, the couple chose to have one reading at the end of the ceremony, ‘An Apache Indian Blessing’. This was read out by groomsman Dean.

The couple exchanged wedding rings ordered from Smooch. They had the perfect custom rings, and had them engraved with the date they met and their wedding date in Roman numerals alongside their initials.
