Wendy and Ian met at a fancy dress party and had been together for five years before getting engaged with a unique ring whilst on holiday. The couple planned a relaxed and rustic autumn wedding that truly reflected their laidback and easy going nature.
Wendy and Ian
Wendy and Ian met on New Year’s Eve in 2004 at a mutual friend’s party. Wendy had painted herself green and gone as Princess Fiona from Shrek, whilst Ian had opted for a Zorro costume. The couple got talking, but it took a more glamorous murder mystery themed party the following March for them to finally get together.
After five years together, Ian popped the question as they holidayed in Crete. He bought a bottle of champagne and took it to the beach so they could watch the sunset. It was here he got down on one knee, for a truly romantic proposal.
Wendy was delighted with the proposal and was pleased that she was able to have a say in the engagement ring, which they picked out together on their return to the UK. She chose an unusual orange stone, which was custom made by Ian Goldsmith at Goldwrights.
