Rather than choosing a traditional wedding dress for her beach wedding, Wendy decided that she wanted to wear a corset with a matching skirt. She searched online for the right style and tried on three different designs, but in the end she bought the perfect corset, and had a skirt made to match from a dressmaker based in Leeds.
Wendy was delighted with her outfit on the day – and loved the fact that it was unique and unlike a traditional wedding dress.
As she’d be getting married on the beach, Wendy knew that a pair of heels just wouldn’t work with her bridal outfit – so she decided to buy a pair of white wellington boots or ‘Weddington Boots’ as they are known in the bridal industry. Her fear of walking through muddy fields to get to the beach were banished and her Weddington Boots made her outfit fun and completely unique.
There was a theme of sunflowers running throughout the day, and Wendy carried a tightly bound bouquet of them as she walked down the aisle.
