Unlike most brides-to-be, as Vivian was living in London and was far away from her family in Hong Kong, she had to go dress hunting without her mother and best friend at her side. Although she found it a bit sad, thanks to the internet, her bridal party didn’t miss out on any crucial finds. She would email them pictures of ‘contenders’ to get their views and help decide which dresses made the short list.
After trying on 13 dresses, which would seem unlucky for some, Vivian found her dream gown. It was from Silhouettes, a little bridal boutique on Richamond Hill Rise and was by designer Sottero & Midgley. She customised the stunning lace dress by searching sites such as eBay.co.uk and Etsy.com to find the perfect sash to add. Eventually, after months of sash hunting, just before her second fitting she found a stunning beaded sash by Made by Lawrie, which truly transformed the dress.
