Vikki & Ben’s Real Wedding

Ben and Vikki knew of each other for a while, but their relationship blossomed when they finally met properly one September evening in Vodka Revolutions in Southampton, in 2009. They were together for six years before tying the knot in a super fun wedding that included a bake off and fairground rides!

The wedding transport at Vikki and Ben’s wedding was seriously cool. The bride and mother of the bride arrived in a cream 1954 R type Bentley, whilst the bridesmaids were transported in a pink Cadillac.

Vikki loves Elvis so the pink car was her way of including a bit of the King at her wedding, whilst they used the more classic car after the ceremony to deliver the bride and groom to the reception in style.

The couple married in St Mary’s Church in Michelmersh, a small village outside of Romsey, where Vikki is from. Sadly Vikki’s father passed away from cancer a year before she got engaged. As soon as they started planning the wedding she knew she wanted to be married where her dad was – his ashes are interred in his parents’ grave at the church.

The church was a really beautiful setting for the wedding and the reverend was wonderful. They had 125 friends and family join them for the ceremony – the church was filled! But Vikki hardly noticed, she only had eyes for Ben.

Vikki walked down the aisle with her mum, and after the ceremony she and Ben visited her father’s grave and placed a special bouquet on it, as well as a poem she’d printed off with a picture of him on the back.
