James hired his wedding wear from Walters of Oxford, based on the recommendations of friends who’d used them before. They chose a traditional morning suit with pinstriped trousers and tails, a waistcoat and cravat and wing collared shirt. The men wore pale gold waistcoats and cravats to tie in with the subtle gold shade of Victoria’s wedding dress.
James decided to have two best men as well as two ushers, and Victoria’s dad, which made a groom’s party of six.
James got to choose the wedding transport for the day, and he opted for the classic 1932 Rolls Royce Open Tourer which he hired from Allerston Taylor & Regency Carriages. The car was decorated in a pale gold ribbon to match the bride and groom’s attire.
