Andy and Vicky’s wedding reception venue was called ‘Rose’ and was situated in Parnitha Mountain, Athens. The modern building had stunning views of Athens, and the couple fell for it straight away when they were planning their wedding. 120 guests attended and were treated to a delicious Greek feast and unlimited drinks.
The reception tables were named after cities in Greece and England that the couple had visited together, and were decorated with postcards depicting the places and souvenirs from the cities. The guestbook table was covered in photos of Vicky and Andy at the various locations their tables were named after.
Each guest received a tradition Greek favour; seven sugared almonds in lilac and white organza bags. Seven is a lucky number in Greece, and the bitterness and the sweetness of the sugared almonds is thought to represent the bitter and sweet times the newly married couple will share.
