Mark and Vanessa had their wedding ceremony and reception at Augill Castle, an elegant and romantic venue that allowed for exclusive hire – something that was important to the couple. Vanessa and Mark looked at two other castles before deciding on Augill. They felt the other two venues were too big, and they didn’t want a huge guest list just to fill spaces. Augill Castle was much more intimate, ideal for their guest list of 45.
The newlyweds shared a delicious wedding breakfast of twice baked cheese soufflés, followed by fillet of beef with wild mushroom sauce, horseradish mash and spring greens. Wedding coordinator Wendy recommended a dessert that would go with their wedding cake, and they followed her advice, choosing an orange and almond cake served with homemade lemon curd ice cream and a basil and pineapple salad.
