Tara & Alex’s Real Wedding

Tara and Alex got engaged whilst on a romantic holiday to Antigua, and spent 15 months planning their special day. They decorated their wedding with a classic grey and ivory colour scheme, and honeymooned in South Africa and Mauritius.

Cascade Bouquet

Tara and Alex’s wedding ceremony took place at Ettington Park in front of 50 of their closest friends and family.

The bride walked down the aisle with her father as acoustic guitarist Tom Sitton played ‘Wu Wei’ by Pierre Bensusan. She carried a beautiful cascading bouquet of David Austen roses and hydrangeas, in mostly white and green. The wedding flowers, which were arranged by The Orangery, Kenilworth, also had lilac-grey blooms to match the colour scheme, and under-ripe blackberries to give a hint of red to match Tara’s lipstick!

During the wedding ceremony, the father of the bride read out a poem, and the bride’s sister read out a poem Carrie Bradshaw wrote in Sex and the City.

The ceremony took place within the ruins of the chapel at Ettington Park and was decorated with rose petals, outdoor lanterns and clusters of candles.
