Stacey & Alisdair’s Real Wedding

Stacey and Alisdair met over four years ago, at a mutual friend’s birthday party. After three and a half years together, Alisdair decided to make Stacey his wife, and after carrying the ring around for two weeks, he proposed outside the Town Hall in Birmingham City Centre.

Traditional Groomswear

Alisdair was insistent that he and the groomsmen would wear kilts on his wedding day. The groom ordered his kilt from Anderson’s Kilts in Dumfries, which meant the couple had to travel 230 miles for Alisdair to go and try it on, but he felt that was a small price to pay to get his kilt from a store he believes to be the best!

The rest of the groomsmen, including the two best men, the ushers and the father of the groom, all rented their kilts from Slater’s in Birmingham, taking advantage of a handy five for the price of four offer! The groomsmen wore grey and black tartan kilts with black shirts and green cravats, whilst Alisdair wore a tartan called the Smith Ancient, with a white shirt and green cravat.
