Sophie admits to knowing nothing about flowers, so she passed the job of organising her wedding blooms on to her mother, as she felt she would enjoy it more. The mother of the bride contacted Big Day Flowers, and arranged for her daughter to have a beautiful bouquet of ivory avalanche roses, scattered with diamantes.
Sophie’s two bridesmaids carried smaller blue and white bouquets, to match their blue bridesmaid dresses. Their bouquets also contained thistle, as a nod to Iain’s Scottish heritage, as his father is a Scot. The groomsmen all sported ivory rose button holes.
Sophie’s favourite decorative touch was the table arrangements. They were large fishbowls filled with gerberas. The couple also had a large floral arrangement in the ceremony room, which they moved to the top table as a centrepiece ahead of the wedding breakfast.
