The wedding reception was held at the Berystede Hotel and Spa in Ascot and was the first venue the couple visited when on the hunt for the perfect wedding location.
They instantly fell in love with it and couldn’t resist the generous wedding package and character of the venue.
The couple loved the fact it wasn’t too grand but still had so much space to offer them and had also recently had a huge make-over.
Despite its refurbishments, the venue still managed to maintain the old style character which worked perfectly for Sophie and Carl’s dream of a vintage wedding with a blue and peach colour scheme.
The wedding guests were served a beautifully cooked menu that not many people would be able to resist:
Starter – Vegetable and goats cheese tartlet.
Main Course – Chicken in whisky jus, seasoned vegetables and gratin potatoes.
Dessert – Vanilla panna cotta with fresh strawberries and strawberry sauce.
The wedding favours were a really sentimental touch at this wedding. The couple knew straight away they wanted to add a charity element to it so they decided on Cancer Research favours.
They made a donation for each guest and gave them a pin and card explaining that something had been donated on behalf of each and every one of them.
Lots of the guests wore their badges all night in celebration of not only the wedding, but the good cause behind the favours.
