Simonne and Chris always knew their wedding cake would be spectacular. They had a four tier wedding cake, with fruit cake at the bottom, followed by a chocolate layer, then a carrot cake tier and finally a lemon drizzle tier on top. It was topped with purple sugar flowers. Each tier was decorated differently, and the cake was finished off with a bold purple ribbon, fastened with a sparkling diamante brooch.
A friend of a friend made the gorgeous cake for the couple, and Simonne is looking forward to the next event in her life when she can ask her to make another cake, as she loved the wedding cake she created so much!
The elaborate, flavourful cake was cut up and served to guests as part of the evening meal.
