*Benjamin Roberts Bride of the Month, October 2014*
Sharn and Tom celebrated their traditional church wedding with 85 guests during the spring. The bride wore a dream wedding dress by Benjamin Roberts and the couple danced their first dance to a popular John Legend tune towards the end of their celebration. Mexico was the location of choice for their honeymoon and the couple tried to stick to their wedding budget as best they could!
A Dominican Republic Proposal
Sharn and Tom were introduced by mutual friends on a night out in Peterborough. They shook hands and Tom offered to buy Sharn a drink. A little voice inside Sharn’s head said ‘Yes Sharn, this is the guy you’re going to marry’, which Sharn kept as a secret to herself until the night before their wedding!
After a year and nine months together, Sharn and Tom booked a relaxing holiday to the Dominican Republic, but little did Sharn know that she’d come back from the Caribbean as an engaged woman!
Tom tried to pick the right moment to propose on their magical vacation, but due to a power failure at their resort, Tom’s big plans didn’t quite go to plan! He ended up proposing the following morning, just after Sharn had returned from reserving sun-loungers with their beach towels. Before Tom had time to say ‘will you marry me’ and put the ring on Sharn’s finger, she was madly texting her mum with excitement!
In order to save money the couple decided to book their wedding date for exactly 2 years after they got engaged, making March 29th a very special date for the couple indeed!
