Sarah loves the 1920/30’s and Art Deco style, so the couple decided to incorporate aspects of both of these era’s in to their wedding, including the style of the wedding dress.
Sarah found an endless amount of strapless style dresses and Grecian types, but nothing really caught her eye. She also spent hours scouring websites looking for ‘the one’ but as it turned out, fate stepped in.
After trying on a couple of gowns, it was becoming apparent that she may have to “settle” for a destination style dress seeing as she just hadn’t had “the moment”.
After browsing the rails at True Romantica in Kenilworth, a beautiful Alfred Sung design was revealed. The assistant, who was lovely, said “ooh I don’t think this is for you, many younger girls have had this on and not many people can pull it off!” Sarah wasn’t offended by this because she appreciates honesty and it was her opinion but her daughter said “just try it on Mum, what have you got to lose?”
The dress fit Sarah like a glove and everyone was crying, including the assistant who took her words back!
