Mervin is from Mauritius, where it is tradition for the groom to have a wedding suit specially made. However, he liked the English tradition of all the groomsmen matching, so they hired traditional tailcoats for the groom, the two best men, the dads and the usher.
The suits were hired from Eric Spencer in Ikley. Sarah’s dad had always shopped there and found them to be very helpful, so they were the couple’s first port of call. Sarah and Mervin went to the store with her parents to choose the groomswear. They opted for traditional black morning coats with pinstripe trousers, ivory waistcoats and pale blue ties.
