Sarah and David celebrated their wedding and reception at Coombe Abbey in Warwickshire. They invited 45 guests and spent two years planning the perfect day, with a move back and forth to Australia in between. The couple feel so lucky to have found each other and wouldn’t have changed a thing about their wedding day – as it was a dream come true!
Sarah and David were mutual friends before officially becoming a couple seven years go. The couple shared a beautiful relationship, and after five years David realised that he wanted to surprise his future wife with an amazing proposal. David whisked Sarah off for a romantic night away to the Coombe Abbey Hotel, where the couple had an incredible room featuring a 4-poster bed and a bathroom to die for. The couple went for a walk around the grounds during the afternoon and even though it was freezing cold outside, the scenery was stunning seeing as it had recently snowed. As the snow started to gently fall again, David stopped at a bench which overlooked Coombe Abbey and the surrounding lake. He then turned around to Sarah and proposed with a bespoke engagement ring that Sarah couldn’t have chosen better herself.
The couple had always planned on emigrating to Australia, which they did shortly after their engagement, but deciding it wasn’t for them, they moved back home to the UK, set a wedding date and tied the knot 2 years to the date that they got engaged.
