The Cake

Sarah’s very talented mother made this stunning cake. The cake had three tiers; the bottom tier was a traditional fruit cake and the two top layers were lemon with a lemon curd filling. The cake was covered in ivory icing with folds of icing falling elegantly down the side. Beautiful, delicate ivory roses lay at the feet of the loving cake topper and at each bend in the icing folds.

The guests enjoyed the cake as dessert which meant all of Sarah’s mum’s hard work was enjoyed not only by the eye but the mouth too!

Having friends and family help with Sarah and Craig’s big day certainly made for many happy memories and kept to their desired theme; ‘simple but effective’.
