Sam & Grant’s Real Wedding

Sam and Grant spent two years planning their retro come vintage wedding which took place during August 2012.  80 guests were invited to the ceremony with a further 40 guests joining the newlyweds for a fun-filled marquee wedding reception which was held in the grounds of Hardwick Hall Hotel.

The wedding ceremony was Sam’s favourite part of the entire day.  She was super excited during the morning as she got ready with her bridesmaids and was overwhelmed with emotion as soon as the music started playing just prior to her walking down the aisle.

Baby I love your way by Big Mountain was played shortly before the bride and her bridesmaids walked down the aisle to At Last by Etta James.

During the ceremony both Sam and Grant’s mothers lit candles and Sam’s sister read out a beautiful, light-hearted poem called ‘He Never Leaves the Seat Up’ by Pam Ayres.

Sam and Grant exchanged wedding rings and then signed their register to ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered’ by Stevie Wonder; the most appropriate song for such an exciting moment. The newlyweds then had some incredible photography shot in the gardens of their venue, in a wedding car hired from Love Dub Cars.
