Sam & Grant’s Real Wedding

Sam and Grant spent two years planning their retro come vintage wedding which took place during August 2012.  80 guests were invited to the ceremony with a further 40 guests joining the newlyweds for a fun-filled marquee wedding reception which was held in the grounds of Hardwick Hall Hotel.

The Blushing Bride

When it came to choosing her wedding dress, Sam took her mother, mother-in-law-to-be and bridesmaids to help her pick out a dream dress. The four women visited Butterflies Bridal in Thornaby where the bride-to-be tried on a few dresses, but instantly knew that she’d found ‘the one’ upon stepping into Donatella by Ronald Joyce.  Donatella was a stunning dress that featured a sweetheart neckline and amazing beaded detail throughout.

Sam had fallen instantly in love and decided to order the perfect gown in ivory.  She teamed her dress up with teal peep-toe heels during the day, but then changed into special Converse featuring lace detail during the evening so that she could rock the dance floor.

Sam also wore an elegant veil and a gorgeous headpiece to complete her bridal look.

The six bridesmaids wore fun, bright, retro themed dresses that has been ordered from John Lewis.
