For the wedding cake, Alex’s stepfather’s mother pre-made a fruit cake tier and a sponge cake tier. Rosie and Alex then commissioned Jackie Hamblin, a local cake designer to make an ivory fondant cake with the separate pieces piled up in the style of Christmas presents, wrapped in red ribbon bows and surrounded by red rose petals and glass tea lights. The cake was cut into pieces and served as dessert.
After the wedding cake had been cut there was an indoor fireworks display to enjoy, a full DJ light and sound roadshow, hi-tech laser shows and 16m of wall-to-wall star cloth giving a real ‘dancing in the stars’ feeling. A great end to a fabulous day!
Rosie and Alex both love London and both love skiing so they combined the two ideas into a 5 star luxury London city break followed by a romantic French chalet skiing honeymoon to commence their married life!
