Rebecca and Stephen planned a country garden, vintage styled wedding which took place on the grounds of the bride’s family home. They planned their wedding in 14 months and invited a total of 115 guests to share the special day with them. The couple danced their first dance to ‘I’ll be there’ by the Jackson 5 and spent their honeymoon travelling to Bangkok and Koh Samui in Thailand.
Rebecca and Stephen met through work in 2008 but didn’t properly speak until they were at a mutual colleague’s birthday party in a pub close to their office. They started talking and didn’t stop until they realised that the party had come to an end and they were the last couple to leave the pub.
The next two years were spent in each others arms. This couple knew that they were right for each other and on the third night into a Mexican holiday Stephen took Rebecca for a romantic walk on the beach. The beach was empty and the couple sat on a swinging sofa bed looking up at the stars together. Before she knew it, Stephen was down on one knee in the sand asking Rebecca if she would be his wife.
Not only was Rebecca over the moon – but Stephen had also proposed with an engagement ring that the bride-to-be had been eying up in the window of her favourite jewellery shop since she was 16!
