After first meeting whilst on a drunken night out in Bristol, Rebecca and Gary were together for four years before Gary proposed. It was Christmas Eve, 2012, and the couple were staying at Rebecca’s parents’ house, along with her brother and aunt and uncle.
Gary knew that Rebecca’s family is her world, and she would want them present at her proposal, so he worked around that. He set challenges for everyone as a fun game, and Rebecca had to memorise items in the room and wear a blindfold as they were moved and swapped around.
She removed the blindfold to see Gary, changed into a suit, down on one knee. The room was filled with candles, and Gary presented Rebecca with a beautiful platinum engagement ring.
The excited bride and groom-to-be could then celebrate their happy news with Rebecca’s family, before spending the next year planning their wedding!
