The bride and the rest of the women in the wedding party spent the morning before the big day having their mehendi ceremony. Mehendi is a crucial part of the Indian bride’s beauty regime, and it was also a great way for all of the girls to get together whilst the men played cricket!
Pree was adorned with beautifully intricate mehendi designs across her arms, hands and feet. She styled her long, dark hair back in a traditional bun on her wedding day, so as not to distract from her intricate gold jewellery and makeup.
A local Assamese hair and makeup artist was hired to create a traditional look. She also assisted in tying the bride’s mekhela-chadar.
