Patricia and Conor’s wedding ceremony was held in St. Mary’s Church, Magheral, the same church that Patricia had attended as a child. The ceremony took place at noon, and the bride was very calm, until she was just about to walk down the aisle.
Patricia walked down the aisle on the arm of her father to the sounds of Gabriel’s Oboe, played on Uilleann pipes.
It was important for the couple to incorporate their families as much as they could during the ceremony. Nephews, sisters and cousins did readings, prayers and reflections throughout the ceremony, truly bringing the two families together. The couple then exchanged wedding rings that they’d purchased from Chapelle and were pronounced husband and wife shortly afterwards!
