Matt and Olivia wanted a relaxed, laid back wedding reception, and with the help of their catering company, Yellow Kite, they were able to achieve just that.
The marquee reception was decorated with red gingham table cloths that had been hired from Jongor Hire in Portsmouth and lots of homemade black boards with easels personalised the whole event. Guests were given bottles of Limoncello as wedding favours and a ‘Love is Sweet’ chalk board sign introduced a well-stocked sweety bar to all of the guests – and children! All of the table were named after places that Matt and Olivia visit often and love.
Yellow Kite presented a delicious meno of Genoese special ‘Trofie with Pesto’ followed by a BBQ and then lemon sorbet to finish. Evening guests started to arrive at 7.45pm which was a great introduction to the couple’s first dance, ‘That’s Amore’ by Dean Martin which was mixed by a friend of the couple, DJ Tommy Leigh. A second band, Those Distant Voices, then took over and the dancing commenced for the rest of the night.
