Matt and Olivia spent just over 2 years planning their relaxed, Hampshire based wedding which featured character, style and personalisation throughout. After a whirlwind proposal, the bride found the perfect dress on the flyer at a wedding fair, and the groom planned a secret honeymoon to Italy. This couple sourced fun items for their wedding locally and tried to make their wedding both fun and exciting for their guests from start to finish.
Matt and Olivia met in a crowded bar in Portsmouth during their post-graduate studies. They were introduced through a mutual friend and it wasn’t long before Olivia persuaded Matt into a cheeky drunken kiss. The rest…as they say…is history!
Matt planned an amazing 30th birthday surprise for Olivia which included renting a car, filling it with gifts, and driving down to the incredible Gallivant Hotel in Camber Sands. Matt had previously collected the bespoke engagement ring that he’d had made by a jeweler in Hatton Garden and the couple went down to the beach with a camera phone to explore the sights.
Matt: “Are you going to get off your phone?” Olivia: “Sit down, you’re blocking my light!” Matt: “I will, but I need to ask you an important question. Do you know how much I love you?” A weary Olivia: “yes” Matt: Will you do me the honour of being my wife?” You can guess what the answer was – and the couple both cried and drank Champagne before calling their parents! It was the best birthday surprise ever!
