The tables at Nicola and Adam’s wedding reception featured model lighthouses as their centrepieces. They were surrounded by candles and crystals and pictures of the lighthouse the table was named after.
The reception also featured nautical bunting, made by Adam’s mum, and a large life-saver ring painted with the couple’s married surname and their wedding date. The seating plan was made from old nautical charts, and each of the guests got to take home a handmade wooden sailboat which held their place card. The boats were crafted by Nicola’s dad and Adam in the run up to the wedding.
They also gave out British Heart Foundation badges, as it’s a charity very close to their hearts.
After the buffet there were quizzes and a performance from a live Ceilidh band, which lots of Adam’s family had never experienced before. In the evening, a DJ took over the dancefloor.
