Nicky wanted to look elegant and classy as she walked down the aisle, and so decided to pay a visit to a local bridal studio called Charades several months before her big day. After describing her ideal dress, the ladies at Charades selected 10 dresses from the rails and hung them up for Nicky to inspect. The 1930’s style dress that caught Nicky’s eye was called Bruna and was in the 2008 collection designed by Victoria Jane. The gown had a flattering, fitted bodice with gorgeous detail all over. Nicky was able to personalise her dress by adding a diamante brooch – which doubled up as her ‘something old’ and had straps added to the dress for extra security. Nicky wore a second dress during the evening of her wedding which she purchased at an absolute bargain whilst out shopping for her bridesmaids dresses.
Nicky’s two daughters and friend Gemma wore lovely bridesmaid dresses from BHS on the high street which they teamed up with oversized pearls, vintage style headwear and fabulous aqua pink shoes designed by Vivienne Westwood.
