One of Nichola’s bridesmaids made the amazing three tiered wedding cake. It consisted of a layer of fruit cake, a layer of sponge cake and a layer of chocolate cake. The cake was decorated with hessian trims and sugar flowers, and was displayed on rustic log slices. Guests were encouraged to take cake home with them in personalised cake boxes.
Three days after their pretty vintage wedding, Nigel and Nichola set off on the first of their two honeymoons. The newlyweds hired a five star cottage in Somerset for a romantic rural escape. Later on in the year they plan to visit Norfolk to extend their wedding celebrations even more!
Nichola and Nigel say there is nothing they’d change about their special day, and encourage other couples to invest money in a good photographer as after the day, aside from memories, it’s all you have left!
